Senior Biologist

Originally from Ukraine, Valeriy works in the Phytoplankton Ecology department conducting red tide research, studying water samples for red tide cells precense, taking part in open sea water collections and taking care of numerous phytoplankton cultures at Mote Marine Laboratory. Before he joined Mote, Valeriy worked in different laboratories in Canada and Ukraine in the field of microbiology and plant cell biology. In 2005-2006 he worked as a part time teacher, teaching oceanography at Manatee Community College (now The State College of Florida).

Education

M.S. in Biology from Kiev National University.
