Virtual Earth Day Estuary Exploration

April 22 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Free
A man with glasses, a beard, and a wide-brimmed sun hat is smiling at the camera while wearing a headset microphone. He is standing on the shore of a body of water with clear blue skies and docks in the background. Next to him is a large camera setup on a tripod, which includes a teleprompter, a mounted microphone, and a connected smartphone. Mangrove trees are visible on the right side of the frame. The man appears to be broadcasting or recording a presentation near the water.

Go on a hike without the bug bites. Celebrate Earth Day with Mote Marine Laboratory as we take a virtual excursion into Sarasota Bay. Live from atop our roving education platform, embark on a sightseeing adventure over mudflats, seagrass meadows, and mangrove trees. Uncover the challenges sea creatures face living between the tides and maybe wave to a scientist working alongside us on the docks. You never know what we will find when we explore the estuary together. From shark pups to grownups, this program is suitable for all ages.

A Suncoast Remake Learning Days event made possible by the generous support of the Patterson Foundation.
