Due to a last minute overseas research opportunity, Dr. Robert Nowicki is no longer available to be a part of Mote’s 2018 Special Lecture Series lineup. To take his place, we have Mote's newest Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Dr. Heather Page to lecture on ocean acidification on coral reefs and her research interests she plans to study at Mote's Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research and Restoration in the Florida Keys. Her talk is titled, "Corals, seaweeds, & sponges, oh my! Coral reefs under an acidifying ocean." Dr. Page has joined Mote from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California. The tickets you purchased for Dr. Nowicki’s lecture will automatically transfer to Dr. Page’s lecture on March 5. If you would like a refund for this date, please contact Samantha Byrd at 941-388-4441 ext. 426 or email@example.com. Thank you for your patience, understanding and support.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. to the WAVE Center for lecture guests to enjoy a cocktail hour (cash bar) before the lectures begin at 6:30 p.m. Ticket holders will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets: $10 (per ticket per lecture); $5 for Mote volunteers (who are not Mote members); $5 for teachers and students; free for Mote members. You must make a reservation in advance, even if you are a member. A limited number of tickets might be available at the door on lecture nights, but we cannot guarantee availability. Tickets are non-refundable unless Mote cancels the lecture. Ticket sales close at 3 p.m. on the day of the lecture or when tickets sell out.
