Teen Science Café: Dr. Nicole Rhody

Mote Marine Lab’s high school interns present a Florida Teen Science Café. Florida Teen Science Cafés are free, informal events for teens focusing on marine science. Each meeting welcomes a local scientist to share their work with students. Subject matter is geared for 9th–12th grade students.

  • Title: “Fishtales”: How Aquaculture is helping to  shape the future of sustainable seafood production.
  • Description: In this discussion, Dr. Rhody will dive into the field of aquaculture.  Come learn what aquaculture is and why it’s important in our world today.  Mote Aquaculture Park’s staff is leading research efforts in the field of sustainable seafood production.  Hear all about how they farm fish for food and support local fisheries.
