10/28/2020  This juvenile green sea turtle was rescued on the east coast of Florida and brought to The Sea Turtle Hospital at University of Florida Whitney Lab.

10/29/2020  Due to Whitney Lab running out of rehabilitation space, the sea turtle was transferred to Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium's Sea Turtle Hospital to undergo rehabilitation. This turtle has been deemed "Beez" by Mote staff. Beez has fibropapilloma tumors that will need to be surgically removed.

10/30/2020  Beez is doing well and began eating right away. Beez was put on an injectable antibiotic and injectable iron to improve bloodwork

10/31/2020  Beez defecated (pooped) what is most likely pieces of a plastic bag.

11/14/2020  Beez has been doing great. Fibropapilloma removal surgery was performed and Beez is now tumor free! Now we will observe Beez for awhile watching for any tumor regrowths or new growth. Beez is on an oral antibiotic.

12/15/2020  Beez continues to do well.

01/16/2021  Beez was medically cleared for release but will spend a few days in a dolphin rehabilitation tank to slowly get used to colder water to match the current ocean temperature.

01/27/2021  Beez and Sting were released by Mote staff at Apollo Beach on the east coast of Florida!
