This turtle stranded in the Cape Cod area and was transferred from the New England Aquarium to the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Hospital due to lack of space. This turtle arrived with Glacier, Frosty, and Kringle and has a number of external lesions caused by cold-stunning and probably frostbite. 12/24 This turtle was slow to begin eating but is now eating a small amount twice daily. 1/1/03 Turtle is doing much better and white count is coming down. 1/14 White count is now normal and turtle is eating well. 2/27 Turtle continues to do well and will likely be ready for release in the next month or so. 3/18 This turtle had to be put back on antibiotics, but seems to be doing fairly well. 5/15 Blizzard is again on antibiotics but appears to be responding. It is hoped that this turtle along with Glacier and Frosty will be ready for release by early summer. 6/21 Turtle is doing well, but is still on antibiotics. 7/25 Turtle has been off all antibiotics and is doing very well. Release is scheduled for next week along with two other Cape Cod turtles. 8/1 This turtle was released today along with Glacier and Frosty.
