03/07/2021  Juvenile green sea turtle stranded at New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County.  Animal was lethargic and covered in epibiota.

03/09/2021  Due to lack of space at the sea turtle rehabilitation facilities on Florida's east coast, 15 juvenile green sea turtles were transferred to Mote for rehabilitation.  Animals were weighed, had blood work done, and were given subcutaneous fluids and injectable antibiotics.  Turtles were put in rehab. tanks with very shallow water.

03/10/2021  Turtle ate when offered seafood today!

04/10/2021  Brewer continues to improve.  Turtle is in deep water, actively swimming, and eating all food offered.  He is currently on oral antibiotics.

04/17/2021 Brewer's white blood cell has improved and he is doing well, so antibiotics were discontinued.

04/29/2021  Brewer had surgery today to remove some fibropapilloma tumors that grew since being admitted into the hospital.

05/29/2021 Brewer is doing well.  He is gaining weight and all the pap removal sites have healed.

06/07/2021  Molasses, Looe, Howe, Raja, Kimbe, Brewer, Diego, and Bumble were all released by Mote staff at the beach in Ormond-by-the-Sea on Florida's east coast.
