03/07/2021  Juvenile green sea turtle stranded in Daytona Beach, Volusia County.  Animal was lethargic and covered in epibiota.

03/09/2021  Due to lack of space at the sea turtle rehabilitation facilities on Florida's east coast, 15 juvenile green sea turtles were transferred to Mote for rehabilitation.  Animals were weighed, had blood work done, and were given subcutaneous fluids and injectable antibiotics.  Turtles were put in rehab. tanks with very shallow water.

03/10/2021  Turtle showed no interest in eating today.

03/15/2021  Kimbe ate seagrass today!

04/10/2021  Kimbe continues to improve.  Turtle is in deep water, actively swimming, and eating all food offered.  She is currently on oral antibiotics.

05/21/2021  Kimbe is eating well and carapace is healing.  Blood work has also improved, so antibiotics were discontinued.

06/07/2021  Molasses, Looe, Howe, Raja, Kimbe, Brewer, Diego, and Bumble were all released by Mote staff at the beach in Ormond-by-the-Sea on Florida's east coast.
