12/13/2020  Leo was released back into the ocean off of Casey Key in Sarasota, FL!

06/16/2020  Leo was found floating along the seawall in front of Marine Max nextdoor to Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium here on City Island. Leo was brought to Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium's Sea Turtle Hospital for rehabilitation. Leo started eating right away which is always a good sign in rehabilitating wildlife!

06/17/2020  Leo had blood drawn, radiographs (X-rays) taken, and was given fluids. Leo continues to eat well.

07/09/2020  Leo continues to do well. Leo was moved up to the front row of rehabilitation pools to get some natural sunlight.

08/03/2020  Leo was examined again today, continues to do well but still needs more time to finish healing.

08/17/2020  Leo has been put on an oral antibiotic to aid in the healing process. Leo's front left flipper nub is still healing well and is putting on weight.

08/26/2020  Leo was moved into one of the Dolphin & Whale Hospital pools for more room while healing continues.

09/21/2020  Leo continues to do very well in the Dolphin & Whale Hospital rehabilitation pool. Leo is still on antibiotics but will have an exam soon to reassess.

09/25/2020  Leo was taken off antibiotics! Leo's bloodwork has to stay normal through the next exam to be considered for release.

10/09/2020  Leo is still doing great.

10/12/2020  Leo's is back on an oral antibiotic. Leo continues to do well, just needs extra help battling this infection.

11/09/2020  Leo was moved down back into a sea turtle hospital rehabilitation pool for easier access as he is still on antibiotics and we will be doing more diagnostics.

12/11/2020  Leo recieved a round of deworming and has been medically cleared for release.

12/13/2020  Leo was released off of Casey Key in Sarasota, FL!
