03/08/2021 Juvenile green sea turtle stranded in Volusia County. Animal was lethargic and covered in epibiota.
03/09/2021 Due to lack of space at the sea turtle rehabilitation facilities on Florida's east coast, 15 juvenile green sea turtles were transferred to Mote for rehabilitation. Animals were weighed, had blood work done, and were given subcutaneous fluids and injectable antibiotics. Turtles were put in rehab. tanks with very shallow water.
03/10/2021 Turtle ate when offered seafood today!
04/10/2021 Osprey continues to improve. Turtle is in deep water, actively swimming, and eating all food offered.
05/06/2021 Apo, Andros, Hana, Osprey, Pulley, Rowley, and Sombrero were released in Ormond Beach on Florida's east coast by Mote staff today!
