Released off Ormond Beach May 26, 2004
This turtle stranded at Cape Cod due to hypothermia ("cold-stunning") and was initially treated at New England Aquarium. Due to space issues, the turtle was transferred to the Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Hospital for continued rehabilitation and eventual release. 3/5 Turtle is doing very well. It is eating well and gaining weight. 4/4 This turtle is having the most challenges of the cold-stunned turtles, but is eating well and gaining weight. 5/8 Turtle is continuing to do well. 5/14 Turtle is now off all meds and is doing well. 5/19 Turtle has been cleared medically for possible release next week. Turtle was tagged this morning. 5/26 Turtle was released this morning off Ormond Beach on the east coast of Florida.
