12/18/2015 Turtle was found rolling in the tide and was comatose upon arrival. Appears to suffer from the effects of red tide. Turtle was placed in shallow water.
12/19/2015 Turtle is improved but remains in shallow water and is not eating. Fluids will be given intermittently until turtle is eating.
1/04/2016 Turtle has become more alert and active. Water level was raised slightly. Turtle sometimes bites at food and keeps food down when occasionally force-fed. Turtle did eat one fish on its own today.
1/05/2016 Turtle is noticeably more active and alert. Water level was increased again.
1/06/2016 Turtle showed significant improvement by eating the allotted diet today, mostly from hemostats, but did eat two fish on its own.
1/13/2016 Appetite has improved, and feeds are more independent to include foraging.
1/19/2016 Water level was raised to full.
2/05/2016 Turtle continues to improve and is eating well.
2/26/2016 Roll Tide was released on North Lido Beach, Sarasota County.
