10/05/2015  Turtle was transferred to Mote from Volusia Marine Science Center because of papilloma tumors. Turtle is in shallow water. 

10/18/2015  Turtle was seen resting on the bottom of the tank. 

10/27/2015  Turtle is eating well, and water level was raised several inches. 

11/20/2015  Surgery was performed to remove fibropapilloma tumors.  Turtle is back in the tank and eating. 

1/13/2016  Turtle is swimming and eating well but is still on antibiotics. 

2/05/2016  Turtle is off all medications and being monitored for release. 

3/02/2016  Stagecoach was released in Volusia County.

Spotted eagle rays are big, beautiful fish related to sharks. To understand where these rays swim and the different threats they might encounter, Mote scientists co-authored the first multiyear, peer-reviewed research paper on the large-scale movements of spotted eagle rays in U.S. waters.
