Mote welcomes new communication relations manager for the Florida Keys
Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium is pleased to welcome Allison Delashmit as its new Florida Keys Community Relations Manager.
In this newly created position, Delashmit will be the local contact for media requests in the Florida Keys. Based at Mote’s Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research & Restoration on Summerland Key, she will work with the local community to bring awareness of Mote’s research and conservation efforts happening in their marine "backyard." Delashmit will serve as the local liaison between the Summerland facility to Mote’s Community Relations & Communications team in Sarasota, streamlining brand communications and coordinating community events.
Delashmit previously worked at the wireless company U.S. Cellular, as the Regional Advertising Manager on the Brand Management team. She most recently operated a small communications company focusing on PR and Brand Strategy for select clients in the Florida Keys and beyond.
