Mote Marine Laboratory is pleased to announce that Robert Rogers — a skilled professional in volunteer management who is committed to environmental conservation — has been selected as Mote’s Director of Volunteer Resources.
Sean Russell, a rising star in marine conservation and outreach, has received a national-level Brower Youth Award for launching an educational campaign about marine debris — a project that ties back to his high school internship at Mote Marine Lab.
Mote Marine Laboratory is pleased to announce that Elaina Todd has been hired as the Lab’s Community Engagement Coordinator. Todd will help Mote share its world-class marine science with people of all ages, particularly by helping underserved and underrepresented groups participate and stay connected with STEM education (science, technology, engineering and math).
Student Kimberly Fitzpatrick was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Women Divers Hall of Fame by one of the organization’s most famous members: “Shark Lady” Dr. Eugenie Clark of Mote Marine Laboratory.
