During the past week, the ongoing bloom of Florida red tide remained patchy and offshore between Dixie and northern Pinellas counties, according to the statewide red tide update provided Friday, Aug. 22, by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and including results from Mote Marine Laboratory, the University of South Florida and others.
