Biography:
Amanda (she/her) is focused on Coral Restoration, Artificial Reefs, Photogrammetry.
Growing up in land-locked Pennsylvania, Amanda worked through aquariums and abroad programs to find ways to connect with the ocean. During her undergraduate degree at Florida Gulf Coast University she was highly active in dive operations, TA’ing for AAUS certification courses and becoming a NAUI divemaster. While working for the university as a research diver, she became aware of artificial structure being used as coral reefs and went on to pursue her masters at the University of Miami on Mineral Accretion artificial reef restoration. Her passions include diving, coral, art, and technology innovation in regards to the ocean.
