Florida born and raised Angeleigh Palazzolo has always had a passion for marine mammals, especially dolphins. She also enjoys performing, creative writing and teaching others. From her first trips to SeaWorld and Miami Seaquarium, she insisted on being a dolphin trainer. Performing and writing gave her the desire to become famous as well. When she discovered the term “edutainment”, she found her purpose. These goals have evolved and matured, and she is proud to be joining the Mote SEA as a Guest Research Coordinator.
Angeleigh graduated from the University of South Florida, majoring in Psychology of Behavior and the Developing Mind. While attending school she volunteered with the husbandry team at Clearwater Marine Aquarium, and worked with animal ambassadors like Winter, Hope, and Mavis. Angeleigh has also been a part of the Education team at Busch Gardens, where she worked with giraffes, lorekeets, kangaroos, wallabies and more; and Walt Disney World company as an Education Presenter Intern, a facet of Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Animals Science and Education Team, where she worked with avian species, insects and arachnids, and lower apes. She was also part of the opening team for Moana: Journey of Water Attraction, and Communicore Hall.
Angeleigh is proud to have worked with multiple Association of Zoos and Aquariums accredited facilities while advancing her career goals. She is excited to join the team at Mote SEA, Sarasota, combining her passion for aquatic life with her enthusiasm for making people smile. When Angeleigh is not championing the mission of Mote SEA, she is actively working on publishing a fantasy novel which she hopes will be the first of several.
