Biography:
Eva Laxo joined Mote’s Volunteer team as Upper Keys Volunteer Coordinator in April 2025. Growing up in San Francisco, California, she fell in love with marine science and chose to dedicate her life to the conservation of our blue world. Following her time at Boston College, she interned at the California Academy of Sciences Steinhart Aquarium and Coral Restoration Foundation, where she gained experience in coral husbandry and restoration. Today, she works closely with Mote volunteers and interns in the Upper Keys, seeking to spread Mote’s mission and coral conservation to Florida Keys community members and visitors alike.
