Amber's background is in sea turtle nesting and beach monitoring. She has worked on projects in Costa Rica and St. Croix, Virgin Islands; and has had the opportunity to work with 6 out of the 7 sea turtle species. She switched gears from field work to animal care and training when arriving at Mote in February 2011. The Sea Turtle Care department has allowed her to stay involved in research through the ongoing behavioral research program in place with our resident sea turtles.
