After beginning her experience with Mote at the Aquarium’s Fossil Creek exhibit, Ashley became the Boca Grande Outreach Office Assistant. She runs the day to day operations of the Boca Grande office and provides support for public communication, educational offerings, special events and volunteer coordination efforts. Ashley serves as a Mote ambassador to the community of Boca Grande by fostering collaborative partnerships and translating the exciting scientific findings of Mote researchers to the general public.
Prior to joining Mote, Ashley interned at the Smithsonian’s Natural History Museum, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center and NOAA’s Office of Protected Resources. She has also worked as a field biologist for FWC and as an endangered species observer and trawl supervisor during dredging operations.
