Courtney attended Michigan State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology concentrating in Zoo/Aquarium Science and Marine Biology. In 2014 she interned with Mote's Dolphin/Whale and Sea Turtle Hospital for three months. She spent 1 year in Marathon, FL working for the Turtle Hospital as a Rehabilitation Specialist before returning here to Mote in 2016.
