Joey Mandara is a Aquarium biologist technician for The Elizabeth Moore International Center for Coral Reef Research & Restoration in Summerland Key Florida. He started with Mote in 2014, working at the Eco-Discovery Center in Key West as well as the land based coral nursery in Summerland Key. Currently he is full-time in Summerland caring and outplanting multiple stony coral species used in the “reskinning” coral restoration project. He also takes part in rearing coral larvae during the annual spawning.
