Raymond is a lab technician for the Coral Health and Disease Program under his advisor Dr. Erinn Muller. He first joined the Mote team as an intern for the Coral Restoration Program and eventually the Coral Health and Disease Program, where he was hired full-time at the end of summer 2017. Through researching how coral health and disease is influenced by climate change and ocean acidification, Raymond hopes to establish a better understanding of coral health and disease dynamics and the overall decline in coral health worldwide. He believes we can achieve this through extensive scientific inquiry and use their findings to discover new methods in mitigating and preventing further damage to the world’s reefs.
