Staff Environmental Specialist

Sarah joined Mote’s staff following an internship for the Environmental Health program while completing her B.S. in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University. In 2019, Sarah became a staff lab technician researching harmful algal bloom (HAB) mitigation, low impact development (LID) techniques and overseeing lab work and interns. Now as a Staff Environmental Specialist, she co-manages the Beach Conditions Reporting System (BCRS), develops Florida red tide mitigation technologies and community science programs, and performs volunteer support and public outreach.
