Biography:

Jenny Ribble joined Mote Marine Laboratory in January 2022. She received her undergraduate education in chemistry and biology at Greenville College and began her career as an analytical chemist in industry before returning to graduate school to pursue a doctoral degree in chemistry with an emphasis in STEM education research. Although Jenny did not grow up with oceans nearby, she is no stranger to the water, having been born and raised surrounded by the Great Lakes in Alpena, MI. Through her graduate education, Jenny developed a passion for understanding the experiences of those traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields in an effort to make those fields more accessible and more diverse. She looks forward to applying that experience and knowledge to marine science by working with the MarSci-LACE team at Mote.
