Currently at Mote we care for seven different species of sharks, including bonnetheads, sandbars, nurses, blacknoses and more. Most sharks have between seven and fourteen rows of teeth, allowing teeth to be replaced as they wear down. Sharks are a vital part of the ocean ecosystem and we still have so much to learn from them.
