Found worldwide, loggerhead turtles exist in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, Gulf of Mexico and Mediterranean Sea.
Details:
Loggerheads have large paddle-like flippers making them master swimmers and divers. Their large eyes allow them to see in deeper and darker parts of the ocean. Found worldwide, loggerheads prefers subtropical and temperate environments. Like most other turtle species, loggerheads are very good at navigating their surroundings and will return to the same beach to lay eggs where they hatched themselves. According to IUCN’s Red List of Threatened Species, loggerhead turtles are classified as “Least Concern”.
