These parrotfish feed on algae growing on rocks and coral. They also eat dead coral.

Range & Habitat:

Found in the western Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea, midnight parrotfish inhabit coastal coral reef communities.

Details:

Midnight parrotfish range from blue to black in color. They have scales all over their body excluding their head. A bright blue band runs between their eyes.
