The squarespot anthias eats brine shrimp and other small marine invertebrates.

Range & Habitat:

In the eastern Indian Ocean and central Pacific Ocean, the squarespot anthias lives near coral colonies deeper than 66 feet (20 meters).

Details:

These fish get their name from the pale violet square on the side of their magenta colored body. They have deep orange coloring near the top of their body and by their face.
