Scouts may earn marine-themed badges and patches by joining us for full-day Scout events and on-demand workshops.

Scouts BSA Merit Badges

Scouts may complete all merit badge requirements during this all-day workshop, which combines hands-on classroom, in-water and Aquarium exploration. We offer three workshops: Fish & Wildlife Management, Environmental Science, and Oceanography workshops on a rotating basis throughout the school year. Scouts must complete all pre-requisites (details in the registration packet) in order to earn the badge and workshops do not include physical interactions with Mote's resident animals. Scouts should bring their blue cards with them and be prepared to go in the water.
