Benthic Ecology Internship
The Benthic Ecology Program focuses on the effects of human-related disturbances on bottom life in rivers and estuaries. Projects include studies at electric power generating stations, discovery of offshore caverns and successful stocking of bay scallops in natural waters. Interns participate in the field collection of benthic samples and laboratory processing of field-collected material. College students with general water skills and microscopy experience preferred.
