Mote’s Marine Mammal Center closed Feb. 2 due to renovations of otter exhibit

Mote Marine Laboratory would like to announce that in preparation for its new “Otters & Their Waters” exhibit, the Ann and Alfred E. Goldstein Marine Mammal Research and Rehabilitation Center will be closed to the public all day on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Closed areas include the manatee and sea turtle exhibits, upstairs walkways and gift shop, along with the "Oh Baby!" exhibit. The Marine Mammal Center will reopen the next day. The main Aquarium building with the sharks, sting rays, octopus, sea stars, touch pool and a variety of fish and invertebrates will remain open as usual from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Mote Aquarium staff apologizes for this inconvenience and would like to offer reduced admission prices to visitors on Feb. 2 (for that day only):

  • Adults (13 and older): $9.75
  • Seniors (65 and older): $9.25
  • Youth (4-12): $7.25
  • Children (0-3): Free
