Perfect for the budding scientist or constantly curious student, this two-hour event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and provide families the chance to see how they can add more marine science and STEM to their home-school curriculum.
“Mote’s home-school open house is the ideal opportunity for parents and students alike to come see and experience how Mote Marine Laboratory can add valuable experiences and STEM teaching moments through a variety of opportunities,” said Dana Henderson, School Programs Coordinator at Mote Marine Laboratory.
This $10 event includes admittance for one student (ages 6-14) and chaperone pair, includes an Aquarium visit, STEM based activities and a field exploration of Sarasota Bay led by Mote’s professional marine science educators.
