Biography:

Emma (she/her) is focused on Content Creation, Photography, Website Governance.

As a fourth generation Manatee County native, Emma grew up visiting Mote regularly. She developed a passion for the ocean and marine science and pursued that passion at Florida State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Environment and Society. During her studies, Emma gained valuable experience through internships with Coastal Plains Institute and Manatee County Government’s Department of Natural Resources.

She joined the Mote family in 2023 as a Content Coordinator and works to help the Community Relations & Communications team generate content for Mote’s publications, aquarium exhibits, website and more. Emma is dedicated to sharing the wonders of marine science with the community and fostering a deeper appreciation for our ocean’s treasures.
