Biography:
Averi has volunteered with Mote since 2019 and interned with the Mammal and Reptile Department during the winter (2022-2023). In between when she started volunteering and her internship, she got a Master of Professional Science with a focus on Marine Conservation and studied the stress physiology of blacknose sharks.

B.S. in Biology from the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee
