Betsy Kohl has been serving as the Event & Membership Coordinator since September, 2021. Betsy helps to plan and coordinate member events throughout the year, assists with the sale and management of venue rentals and provides support to the membership and guest services team.

Originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania, Betsy grew up visiting the Sarasota and Longboat Key area and attended summer camps at Mote Marine Laboratory & Aquarium. Betsy brings over ten years’ experience in event management, business development, tourism and hospitality to the Mote team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Betsy is an animal lover and has a habit of rescuing strays. She enjoys visiting and touring historical sites and loves to support local businesses.
