Coral Gene Bank Staff Biologist

Cody Engelsma is a staff biologist at the International Coral Gene Bank. He started working in the Coral Restoration Program in 2019 and later transitioned to the Coral Gene Bank in 2021. His position is to support the daily operations of the Coral Gene bank as well as the coral sexual propagation activities, which include assisting with coral spawning, coral sperm cryopreservation, fertilization, larval settlement, and finally the rearing of the coral recruits.
