Jason Robertshaw

Program Manager

As the Virtual Learning Program Manager, Jason prepares, plans, and implements virtual learning initiatives for a diverse range of audiences, from individual sessions to global webinars catering to over 5000 participants. He is the creative force behind the multimedia content for Mote's acclaimed SEA Trek virtual learning programs. Over the course of his career, he has successfully coordinated live events for Mote using various platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meets, among others. Moreover, he oversees Mote's educational technologies, including the distance learning studios and the computer lab.

He is a certified Florida Master Naturalist and Instructor, and serves as the Central West representative on the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) advisory board. He also leads Endless Oceans, Mote's lifelong learning program for adult learners.

His experience and expertise in marine science education have led him to become a board member of the Florida Marine Science Educators Association and a FMSEA/FWC Aquatic Species Collection Workshop instructor (FMSEA.org).

He is also a member of the National Association of Interpretation (interpnet.com) and the Children's Media Association (childrensmediaassociation.org). In 2022, he was invited to join the advisory board for the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC.org).

Before joining Mote, Jason worked in public television (WUSF-TV) and environmental project management for the state of Florida (SWFWMD).
