Meet the Team

Kelsey first joined the Mote team as an intern in the Ocean Acidification department after graduating with her B.S. in Biology from the University of South Florida. Shortly after in 2023, she began as a laboratory technician in the Chemical & Physical Ecology department. She then transitioned back into Ocean Acidification as a Staff Chemist, in which she runs analyses including dissolved inorganic carbon and total alkalinity, both of which allow us to better understand the entire carbonate system of coastal and estuarine environments.  Born and raised in Sarasota, she is happy to be a part of any research that allows us to better understand and protect our local marine ecosystems.
