Meet the Team

Growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Lauren was far from the ocean but developed a passion for marine science as a little girl. She moved to Florida to attend the University of Tampa, where she earned a degree in Marine Science with a minor in education. Early on in her studies, she discovered her passion for sharing her love of the ocean with others and decided to pursue education instead of research. In May of 2022, Lauren joined the Mote Camp team as an educator before joining the Education Department full time in August 2022. Lauren is excited to foster a change in the world through teaching people of all ages about the many reasons to love our oceans.
