Meet the Team

Liz is originally from central New Jersey, but has lived in the Sarasota/Pinellas area for most of her life and considers herself as a Florida local. She grew up with a passion for the ocean and received a B.S. in Marine Biology from Eckerd College in 2018. Before joining Mote, Liz worked for the Tampa Bay Aquatic Preserves under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) where she gained experience understanding local marine habitats and conducting water quality monitoring. Her position at Mote oversees the Red Tide Initiative Facility at Mote’s Aquaculture Research Park, where she aids Initiative funded projects with their research.
