Meet the Team

Madison grew up on a farm in Ohio and spent much of her time exploring nature. Her love for marine science was sparked after visiting Mote every year and being inspired by Dr. Eugenie Clark. She spent time volunteering to rescue local wildlife and writing grants for local non-profit organizations. After pursuing her degree, Madison moved to Florida where she interned at Mote and worked for Sarasota County researching the Zika Virus. Madison then went on to teach elementary education and high school marine science for five years, working with Title I students. 

As the Education Programs Coordinator at Mote, Madison is responsible for designing and implementing engaging marine science camp programs and inspiring the next generation of ocean conservationists. Her ultimate goal is to bridge her love for science and education, crafting engaging lessons that foster a deeper understanding of the marine world while igniting a passion for conservation in learners of all ages.
