Meet the Team

Born and raised in Sarasota, Shannon has been no stranger to Mote Marine. Growing up she had always been involved with Mote whether it was through summer camps, the high school intern program, or volunteering in the seahorse lab. Pursuing her love for the ocean, she attended Florida Gulf Coast University earning a degree in Marine Science with a minor in education. Shannon started working at Mote in 2017 as a part time educator, and soon after graduating started working full time as an Education Specialist. She looks forward to delivering interactive and highly enthusiastic programming for audiences of varying ages, while also fostering meaningful connections through experiential learning.
