08/03/2018 Barron was transferred from Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife in Sanibel for continued treatment for Red Tide toxicity.
08/04/2018 Barron ate some squid from feeding tongs today.
08/16/2018 Barron continues to be a finicky eater. He will oftentimes eat food from the feeding tongs, but he refuses to forage any prey items on his own. He is receiving an oral antibiotic due to being diagnosed with pneumonia secondary to red tide stranding.
09/26/2018 Barron was satellite tagged and released by Mote staff in Naples. He can be tracked at seaturtle.org.
