About Mote Education
We believe conservation begins with education, and the more we can educate each other the better off our oceans and our lives will be. Mote’s Education programs will help your students dive in, expand their knowledge, and find inspiration in the world around us. Mote’s Education Department has a team of professional educators who bring Mote’s world-class science research to life through engaging and dynamic experiences. All of our School Programs are aligned to FL State Standards.
With a wide variety of programs available for students in preschool through college, we look forward to sharing the ocean and Mote research with you and your students soon!

Mote SEA
Only through exposure, hands-on experiences, and education can people truly understand the impact of marine science. Mote SEA will serve as a regional hub for expanding marine science and technology education and inspiration to every K-12 student in our community. Field trips
Bring your students to Mote Aquarium!
Mote offers you and your students a wide variety of onsite visit opportunities. Our field trips offer STEM and Field Explorations. All of our explorations are aligned with Florida State Science Standards to help students meet requirements on state assessment tests. Experienced Mote Educators lead your field trip program, giving your students access to Mote’s world-class marine research and helping them learn science concepts while inspiring wonder about the world around us. We also offer a special student rate for Self-Guided Tours.

Using relevant, real-time data and information, we dive into marine science with your students, helping them better understand science concepts and ideas. Add some science and excitement to your next event with our engaging Exploration Stations! Mote Educators and Volunteers will provide interpretive facilitation as your participants explore real biofacts and science simulations. Perfect for family days, fairs, STEM nights, festivals, and more!
Professional Development
Mote Education offers professional development workshops for Florida teachers. Our workshops utilize Mote’s breakthrough marine science research and captivating aquarium exhibits to provide marine science content, Mote-specific resources, and lesson plans based on NGSS standards. The curriculum covers life science, scientific inquiry, and marine conservation.
