Diet:

Beaugregory fish feed on marine worms, algae and aquatic invertebrates.

Range & Habitat:

Beaugregory fish can be found in coral reef communities of the northern Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, Bahamas, south Florida and western Atlantic Ocean. They're also commonly found in seagrass beds and sandy flat areas.

Details:

Beaugregory fish are hard to miss with their bright blue crowns and yellow bellies. Juveniles have a dark spot where the dorsal spines and soft rays meet. The only way to distinguish between males and females in this species is by observing their mating behavior.
