Diet:
These fish feed mainly on algae. They also eat aquatic plants, small crabs and mollusks like scallops.
Range & Habitat:
These fish occur in the Indian, Pacific and Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico. They inhabit coastal reef communities and rocky bottoms.
Details:
Bermuda chubs have oval, gray-silver bodies with occasional yellow highlights on their heads. Young chubs feature lighter gray spots across their bodies. They live in saltwater but can also tolerate brackish (mixed salt and fresh water).
