In the eastern Indian Ocean and west-central Pacific Ocean, eyestriped surgeon fish can be found in coral reef communities, lagoons and rocky bottom areas.

Details:

Eyestriped surgeon fish range in color from light brown to blue with highlights of yellow on their fins and tail. From their head to the base of their tale, these fish are patterned with scrawled lines resembling the ridges and groves of a brain. They also have a bright white/yellow spot near their tail. Eyestriped surgeon fish get their name from the yellow stripe that run through their eye.
