In clear, shallow outer reef areas, lagoons, and reef crests, these fish can be found in the east-Indo-west-central Pacific region.

Details:

Red-orange in color, the flagtail rockcods have lighter vertical striping from their head to the base of their tail. Their pectoral fins are yellow.
